“Hollywood filmmakers Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino are my ideals, says Atul Arora”
DIRECTOR Atul Arora from Los Angeles is gearing up to direct actress Kangana Ranaut in his upcoming untitled feature film. Learning the art of filmmaking, Atul has made short films, documentaries, commercials, etc., in Hollywood, Lucknow and Mumbai. Filmmakers Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino from Hollywood are his ideals.
“It’s a woman-centric film and Kangana Ranaut fits the bill like a hand in glove,” reveals Atul Arora. He further informs, “I have been told by my writer Pratik (an ad-filmmaker) that Kangana ji and her sister Rangoli (who handles her business affairs) have liked the script and have shown interest to work with me. Because of the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown, I am stuck at my hometown – Lucknow. Once everything gets normal, I am hopefully looking forward to conclude the deal.”
Multiple award winner Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen in a multilingual (Hindi, Tamil & Telugu) biographical film “Thalaivi”; where she is playing the role of J. Jayalalitha, the late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The outspoken and talented actress has proved her versatility with many films… from “Gangster”, “Woh Lamhe”, “Life in a Metro”, “Raaz: The Mystery Continues,” followed by “Tanu Weds Manu” and its franchise “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, “Queen”, “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” amongst many others.
A green card holder and permanent resident of U.S.A.; Atul Arora had completed his graduation in B.A. from Lucknow. Comfortable with all kinds of genre, Atul Arora loves to make films on human relationship. His upcoming directorial venture – again a woman-oriented Hindi feature film “Afsana” on brothel with the Lucknowi culture and background is in the pipeline of release. The film introduces young model Arpita Shrivastava in the title role. Marathi actor Harsh Kulkarni makes his Hindi debut with this film. N.R. Shivange who has made four successful Marathi films is the producer while Furqan Qureshi is the executive producer.
